PROGRAM OVERVIEW
This programme offers career advancement opportunities for Arts & Culture enthusiasts. It's a US government-approved initiative designed for foreign nationals. Through this distinctive programme, university students, recent graduates, and young professionals can propel their careers through the J-1 Traineeship or internship initiative with a hosting company in the USA

The J1 program is highly structured and monitored, therefore, be assured that the agreed training objectives with your host company will be attained in full compliance with the program rules and regulations.
Our organization works hand in hand with our partners in the USA to guide you through a step-by-step application procedure and process before, during, and after your training program.

Eligibility Program Fees Documentation Benefits Apply

The trainee program is for a Ghanaian:

Who has a degree or professional certificate from a foreign post-secondary academic institution and at least one year of prior related work experience in his or her occupational field outside the United States —OR—
Who has five years of work experience outside the United States in the occupational field in which they are seeking training.
The maximum duration for the trainee category is 18 months except for the fields of Hospitality and Agriculture when the program is limited to 12 months.

The internship program is for a Ghanaian:

Who is currently enrolled in and pursuing full-time studies in a recognized degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution in Ghana —OR—
Who has graduated from such an institution no more than 12 months before his or her exchange visitor program start date
The maximum duration of an internship in any occupational field is 12 months.
All applicants must have command over the English Language

A. Enrollment Fee   —  US$100
 

Applicants are required to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $100 per enrollment for any of our J-1 internship or traineeship programs, which includes preliminary screening and consideration for U.S. program candidacy.

This fee is non-refundable.

B. Program Acceptance Fee
 

Upon acceptance for the J-1 internship or traineeship program participants are required to pay the fees as indicated below.

C. Confirmation of US Host Placement
 

After payment of the required program fees, our program partners will then confirm your U.S. Host placement, and issue and deliver your visa documentation so that we may schedule your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Ghana.

Documents to be supplied by our U.S program sponsors for your interview at the U.S embassy

D2019 (must be signed by sponsors and by you)
SEVIS Receipt
Health Insurance (must cover the duration of the training program)
Guidance to your host company on topics such as workers’ compensation, taxes, etc. in order to fully comply with all U.S. regulations

Documents to be supplied by you for your interview at the U.S embassy

Valid Passport
Proof of socio-economic ties / financial statements
Academic qualifications or professional certificates or degree
Filled and signed DS 160 forms

IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS TO TAKE ALONG TO THE U.S  AFTER J-1 VISA APPROVAL 

 

  • Customs Declaration Form I-94:
You will receive this card on your flight to the U.S. and must fill it out before going through Customs.
  • Insurance ID/Health & Safety Pocket Guide:

This guide contains important information about your travel insurance and serves as your insurance card. Write your DS-2019 number on your insurance card in the space titled ‘Member ID.’ When you are in the U.S. keep this card with you at all times since it will be required if you seek medical assistance. Your Health & Safety guide also contains useful health and safety tips.
