Dear Volunteer,

Thank you for expressing interest in our  volunteering program.

i-Volunteer Ghana is a social intervention program for the youth, and targeted at deprived communities in Ghana. Our approach is to identify socio-economic and cultural issues in various communities in Ghana and design impactful programs to address the needs of these communities with the youth in mind.

The program connects volunteers, international development agencies, government & non-government organisation, communities, and tertiary institution to implement sustainable development programs in the various communities. This initiative is to provide lasting solutions in deprived communities and to empower the youth to become an agent of change.

Eligibility Program Fee Program Package Duration / Location Apply
  • Between the ages of 18-45

  • Must be able to speak and write advanced English

  • Must be in good health

  • Ready to immerse in a new culture

  • Ability to teach people

  • Must have a Diploma/Degree to apply
  • Program Fee:
$800 USD
  • Include:
    1. Airport pickup

    2. Accommodation

    3. Transportation

    4. Feeding
  • Exclude:
    1. Round trip flight

    2. Visa fees

Placement:

  • Volunteers will be placed at Dzindziso in the Oti Region of Ghana

Accommodation:

  • The program includes paid accommodation for two (2) weeks

Position:

  • English Teacher

 



Tour Activities:

Day 1

  • Akawaaba Dinner – Indigenous lantern-lit beachfront dinner of traditional Ghanaian dishes and beverages.

Day 2

  • Volta Region, Ghana – known for its history, scenic beauty, waterfalls and rivers.
  •  Visit several historical landmarks
  • Fort Prinzenutein (slave-trading location)
  • Lighthouse in Woe
  • The slave market in Atorkor (where hot irons were used to mark slaves before being sold).
  • Nighttime will be graced by Ghanaian culture, music, and dance
  • Bonfires on the beach in memory of the African exportation and struggles.

Day 3

  •  Nature expedition
  • Wii Waterfalls expedition
  • Mountain Afadzato ( the highest mountain in Ghana)
  • Monkey sanctuary and cultural village

Duration:

  • Two Weeks (2 Weeks)
